We Are Made from the Land illuminates the little known history of the Dene and Crew people of the Seal River Watershed in Manitoba, and their struggle to restore their place as guardians of their traditional territories. Three generations share stories of resilience: one generation that faced forced relocation and separation from their lands; the next generation that grew up with the trauma of the aftermath; and today, a new generation that is taking the lead to ensure that these lands and water - including the wildlife and people that depend on them - can thrive not only now but into the future.
