Banana Tree focuses on Ann, a divorced woman who is diagnosed with brain cancer and has a difficult time deciding whether or not to proceed with treatments. Ann's Dad expects her to always consider her family first by wanting her to get treatment. For all of Ann's life, she has blamed her parents for never allowing her to make her own decisions: her career, her marriage, and now her life.

The Last Mayor of Chinatown tells the story of the rise, decline, and rediscovery of Pittsburgh’s Chinatown. Yuen Yee, who served as the last honorary mayor of Pittsburgh’s Chinatown, collected one of the largest archives of Western Pennsylvanian Chinese history. Told through images, documents, and artifacts, the film interweaves excerpts from Yee’s memoir with his daughter Shirley’s contemporary commentary to show his instrumental role in supporting newly arrived immigrants and establishing mutual aid initiatives.
