The pilot features a reunion of the cast of Napoleon Dynamite — including Jon Heder, Efren Ramirez, Tina Majorino, Jon Gries, and Haylie Duff — bringing a fresh spin to a nostalgic style. “Disabled: A Love Story” is an animated documentary exploring the affect Multiple sclerosis (MS) has had on Terry and her husband/caregiver, Jon. Beginning with the diagnosis and continuing through their +35 year marriage, Terry struggles to continue working as a city planner and teaching while losing her mobility. Jon works as a writer, and together they learn to adapt to each stage of the disease while maintaining their relationship.

Five Seasons of My Childhood

Two lifetimes from now the world hangs in the balance. Dove, a young, enigmatic, gender-shifting warrior, discovers the gifts and burdens of their Inkwo (medicine) to defend against an army of hungry, ferocious monsters. Dove’s courage, resilience and alliance with the Earth culminates in a battle against these flesh-consuming creatures, who become stronger with each body and soul they devour. Inkwo for When the Starving Return is a call to action to fight and protect against the forces of greed around us.

Joko is a young man who works on the cistern, he is the only breadwinner in a family. “REM Sleep” explores the human condition, particularly that in the Middle East, where themes of suffering, war and death are daily realities. Based on my dreams and personal experiences as a Syrian refugee, the film also references the 2013 Al Tadamon massacre, in which soldiers loyal to the Syrian regime executed 41 people. The film takes the viewer on an emotional journey through the complexity of human existence, using symbolism and intuitive narrative structures. It asks questions about the meaning of life and what the end means, inspired by philosophical movements such as absurdism, nihilism and existentialism. By telling a story in an absurd and seemingly random way, I try to paint a picture of human suffering and the constant search for meaning. The images, sound and music will evoke different associations for everyone, and everyone will create their own story. “REM sleep” raises questions about what we consider reality and provides a source of reflection and contemplation, where I strive for a strong emotional connection with the audience.

The film tells the story of a mother and her son, bound by an uncut umbilical cord since birth. Their lives are shaped by this inseparable connection, preventing them from experiencing success, achievements, and joyful moments, as they must always be together. This dependency limits their growth and opportunities. As the son reaches middle age, his mother passes away, leaving him at a crossroads. He must decide whether to sever the bond for his own freedom or to succumb to the inevitable decay, becoming prey to the worms that have come to consume his mother’s body.
