Content warning: These films are meant to prompt discussion. All American Kids is a documentary shot before the pandemic, showing life as it was in 2019, and hopefully will be again soon. Bertha and the Wolfram is an uplifting film about creativity in the face of serious illness of a child. Orchestra from the Land of Silence is, in part, about severe discrimination against women and girls in Afghanistan, which leads two girls to run away on a trip abroad.
Featuring a video introduction with the director, Ariel Poster, and subjects of the film, who will talk about how their lives have changed since the making of this film, before the pandemic. This documentary series transports young audiences across the country through kid-driven mini-docs. Meet Melina, photographing wildlife in Alphabet City to Laila, throwing fast pitches in Jemez Pueblo. Both have big plans and dreams for the future.
