Why should big-name film directors get all the credit for exploring what a film can do? These young filmmakers throw the rulebook out the window and prove that if you have an idea and a camera, you too can create an entirely unique work of art.
This program will also screen in person at NWFF on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 4:30pm! VIRTUAL, IN-PERSON, and HYBRID (virtual AND in-person) Festival Passes are available.

Butterfly Playground is a whimsical take on the tragedy of losing a friend. Based on a true story, this short film explores the joys and sorrow of three children who had a friend who was a little different... and truly special.
