This collection of German short films captures how children witness and learn the nation's history.

Whether German or of German heritage, the characters in this series of shorts come to know how German history has formed their present identities. In one film, while on a visit to her grandmother's house, a girl makes a discovery about her past. As she time travels to a parallel historic place, can she make an impactful connection? In another short taking place in East Germany, we witness Frida's small birthday celebration going woefully awry as she learns her parents are participants in a resistance movement.
