Synopsis: Usually, Vega is more like Mom, the “calm” sister who helps keep order in the household. Her little sister, Billie, is the “wild one,” while Daddy is whimsical, spur-of-the-moment and always full of fun. As Vega says, Billie is more like Dad. They don’t read instructions for anything. When her mother has to take a rest in the hospital, Vega reflects she does wish she were more like her father – but she’s a little unsure. Dad’s very outdoorsy and has geared up the girls to go for an overnight hike in the wilderness. The trip is full of fun, imagination, and connecting with nature. While making an awesome pose for a photo op, suddenly Dad falls into a mountain crevasse - and hurts himself, badly. Unable to get out, he tells the girls to go and find help. Vega tries to re-construct their journey in order to get back to their start point – but the girls meander a bit off the path on their own adventures. Finding shelter, foraging, fishing and cooking – it’s all new to them, but the sisters come together with their smarts and their courage to keep their spirits high and their focus on the rescue at hand.
