With some all-star narrators, this collection of short films pulls in any viewer. To explore the earth’s landscapes, is to be in awe of it and these films depict that awe quite well.

Our Earth is a fascinating place that we all must treasure. Even more exciting is the wondrous worlds beyond ours. In one film, we explore the story of four female African American mathematicians at NASA. How did they start out as human computers and expand to the forefront of engineering efforts? Narrated by Octavia Spencer. In the last film, set around Earth Day, a city boy has an unexpectedly magical encounter with planet Earth one day at a museum and takes this experience outdoors for a brand-new perspective, in his own backyard. Narrated by Meryl Streep.

AND THAT IS HOW THE RIVERS CAME TO BE (Short Film)

Synopsis: A long time ago, before there were rivers in the Amazon rainforest, a Kukama God stood poised in his canoe, holding aloft his bow and arrows. Peruvian artists created more than 2,000 paintings to bring this ancient legend to life. In a world that puts a price tag on nature, this animation takes viewers inside the magic of the Amazon region, reminding us of our sacred connection to water. Narrated in Kukama, an endangered language.
