African and African American stories need to be heard, read, and celebrated!

African and African American stories need to be heard, read, and celebrated! It's Chicago's South Side, winter, 1965. The Regal Theater hosts James Brown and Solomon Burke. Backstage, everyone's under pressure. But in 1960's America, both men know their music has unexpected powers. A real-life gifted African-Canadian hockey player undergoes an intimate journey where he reveals the buried history of how Black athletes helped pioneer modern hockey and discovers that his passion is tied to a remarkable heritage.
