An 8 year old Mongolian girl Chasuna travels across the grasslands to visit her father who now lives in the big city. While celebrating the father's birthday with his friends, she finds out he is now married to a Chinese woman. Chasuna develops complicated emotions and reluctance, but she has to learn to accept it.
