Madison in Between

Madison is 12 years old. She is always with the boys. She wears the boys’ clothes and plays on the boys’ basketball team with her very best friends. However, now that she is older, and the boys are about to outgrow her, her coach thinks that it is important that she also practices with the girls. In the beginning, Madison finds it difficult to get used to playing with the girls but slowly she opens up to the possibilities of friendships that may come her way, and she experiences that she can be comfortable in several places without changing who she is. Additionally, she finds out that basketball is such an essential part of her identity and her future dreams that she will apply to join a new class on an elite sports school. But the question is if she is talented enough to be provided a spot, and if she can stand saying goodbye to her classmates with whom she has always felt that she could be exactly be who she is.
