Mommy, Why is Santa Crying?

It’s Christmas time, and for many other families, Christmas can be a stressful time. In this family, 5-year-old, Caroline’s hope for a magical December is overshadowed, by the fact, that her, 3-year-old, brother is sick with leukemia. While dad stays and home with Caroline, mom stays with little brother at the hospital. Dad and Caroline visit the hospital several times a week, a scary place, Caroline really doesn’t like. There is concern because of her brother’s condition that they’ll have to celebrate Christmas at the hospital. Caroline is unhappy. However, at the last possible moment, little brother’s condition becomes stable and he’s able to leave the hospital. What happens next is a sweet, unexpected outpouring of love from a young Caroline no longer focused on just her own happiness.
