Saitenstich

Emma is a child laborer in early 20th century Switzerland. Although she spends her day as a textile laborer, she uses all her free time to pursue her dream of becoming a talented violin player. Her violin was a gift from a wealthy family, but she must figure out how to maintain her instrument alone. Without expensive violin strings, Emma improvises and uses the same thread she uses for textiles as violin strings. She learns to trust in her own talents and to take a stand.
