Shabnam is a Shero, a women’s rights advocate who survived an acid attack by a man in her own community. Today, she raises her daughter Ikra alone following the tragic death of her son and subsequent exit by her husband. She discusses finding purpose and compassion for herself in community with other women who have had similar experiences. For her, radical self-love is the only path forward, one she shares with her daughter.
