Living in a cramped urban area where the sky is but a square, Chelar is desperate to find a deeper connection with nature. Upset by the rigid rules of her friends' games, she leaves the classroom and turns herself into a tree on the school playground. Though not taken seriously by adults and children alike, she refuses to give in. When a magical event happens to Chelar, the young girl becomes an extraordinary example for those around her, teaching them the importance of protecting the environment.
