Slipping Away While being treated at a seaside sanitarium for an injury, an elderly man begins to tame a seagull using bread from his meals. Slowly, this taming process creates a bond of trust between the two. One night a particularly bad thunderstorm strikes and the man notices his seagull is wounded and decides to help heal it, in secret. Together the two rely on each other for support as they work towards recovery in this heartwarming story about empathy and friendship.

An elderly man, recovering from a wound at a sanitarium on a beach, befriends and tames a seagull. After a violent thunderstorm, the elderly man finds his seagull injured and decides to nurse it back to health.

Freedom Swimmer ﻿A grandfather recounts his swim to freedom away from mainland China to Hong Kong back in the 1950s, escaping political oppression and starvation. Parallels are drawn between the political refugees of the 1950s-1980s and the refugees of today, fleeing Hong Kong's anti-democracy policies, as arrests and government censorship continue to constrict human rights. The grandfather and his granddaughter preserve his story in order to combat the National Security Law active in Hong Kong today and fight for democracy in China.

Ice Merchants Everyday, a father and son parachute down from their home attached to a cliff to sell ice in the village far below. The two follow this routine day in and day out, tracing the same steps and taking the same plunge without variance. When the thermometer shows temperatures above zero, however, their stability and livelihood comes under threat.

More Than I Want to Remember One fateful night, 14-year-old Mugeni awakens to find her village drowning in fire. Her home in southeastern Congo has been destroyed by the Mai Mai militia, who have vowed to exterminate the Banyamulenge people. Torn away from her family amidst the chaos, Mugeni begins a remarkable journey across the globe, never giving up hope of finding her loved ones. Five years later, she has a miraculous reunion with her mother and sisters, who have fled to Uganda. Now a woman living in the United States, Mugeni continues to work hard to support her family and empower the Banyamulenge people.

More Than I Want to Remember

After an attack by the Mai Mai militia destroys her home and separates her from loved ones, 14-year-old Mugeni leaves Congo to embark on a journey across the globe in the hopes of finding her lost family. After a miraculous reunion in the United States, Mugeni continues to work hard to support her family and uplift the Banyamulenge people.
