The Sound Collector

The Sound Collector is a stopframe and live action series about a partially deaf little guy living with his per friend Mole. The protagonist is fascinated by sounds precisely because of his natural and common disability (which happens to be underrepresented to young audiences) and spends his days collecting them. With an extradiegetic narrator as travel companion, we follow him in his adventures, where we discover the nearby environment by the sounds he collects with his tape recorder and microphone, which functions as an additional hearing aid that allows him to focus on one sound at a time and fully experience it. His daily acoustic adventures are not passive though, since he also frequently mixes and matches sounds from his collection to what in the outside world would normally be deprived of it, or makes music both enjoying the acoustic and vibrational aspect of it.
