Shoebox Shoebox follows Trey Malloy, a 12-year-old boy who works part-time at his neighborhood barbershop. As Trey sweeps hair and runs delivery errands, he is encouraged by local patrons to use his first paycheck on an array of ideas from the latest Jordans to cryptocurrency investments. As Trey tries to decide how he’s going to spend his money, the film dives into his emotional grief as he copes with the loss of his mother, Latoya Malloy. Rather than purchasing new shoes, stocks, or a suggested bike, Trey decides to buy a flower garden in honor to late mother. Shoebox explores themes of mentorship, responsibilities, and honor through the life of Trey and the teaching he gathers while working at his neighborhood barbershop. As a result, the film examines how communal structures like barbershops can help nurture black boys to be responsible men.

Lil' Ruby Based on Little Red Riding Hood, “Lil’ Ruby” reimagines the classic tale with a modern twist. The animated short follows Ruby, a gifted young Black girl from Brooklyn, as she leaves her home and takes the train to her grandmother Nanda’s house in Connecticut. When Ruby arrives for their annual "Girls Weekend" she discovers an unexpected visitor at Nanda’s house -- a financial advisor named Coleman Howell. Ruby quickly senses something isn’t right, puts the pieces together and formulates a brilliant plan. In the end, the clever and courageous Li’l Ruby proves she’s anything but little.

Father's Day Father’s Day is a short film about Alakhe a 12-year-old boy who is raised by a single mother. Being the nerd of the class, Alakhe is selected to give a speech for a Father’s Day school event. He decides to go against his mother’s word and sets out to find the father he’s never met which opens a can of worms. Eventually he discovers who his real father is.
