It’s 1999 and the Middleview Ducks boys basketball team is about to play the most low-stakes game of their lives. As the team prepares for another certain loss, the dramas around the game soon become more of a focus than the score.

Locker room conversations about existentialism, an Assistant Coach’s (Andrew Phung, KIM'S CONVENIENCE) obsession with an NBA offence technique, and an osteoporosis-stricken canine on the loose are just some of the events that take place before, during, and after this high school basketball game.

The feature film debut from Calgary-based director/writer Ted Stenson, EVENTS TRANSPIRING is an offbeat, and endearing take on the all-too conventional sports narrative – one that will surprise, charm, and entertain. This "90s film" features a teen cast of first-time and experienced actors and a soundtrack sourced from Calgary’s beloved 90s punk, emo, and rock bands...and of course, Jann Arden.

This film is available to stream from September 27 - October 4.
