Cork International Film Festival’s new Director of Programming, Anna Kopecká, who joined the team earlier this year from Prague International Film Festival, brings you a special evening with Czech New Wave director Pavel Juráček in this Czech Classics event.
The screening is followed by a Q&A where you can ask questions of the panel and interact via a chat function
'The Key for Determining Dwarfs or Last Journey of Lemuel Gulliver' by reknowned Slovak director Martin Šulík is a staged documentary based on the journals Juráček was writing throughout his life. The documentary follows this important figure of Czech New Wave from his first successes in the 60s through the occupation and toughening of the regime, the emigration of his first wife and his depression that followed when Juráček was forced to stop his work. Juráček is played by his son Marek.
