Two sisters, Anica and Irena, visit their father and loner brother on a weekend in winter together with Irena’s two children. Their father is planning to sell some land and divide the money equally between the siblings. As the story unfolds, the audience gets to learn more about the life stories and interpersonal tensions between the three siblings, including why in the end the money gets split differently. It’s the small things that reveal a great deal, with the underlying question being: is it possible to free oneself from assigned roles within the family? A compelling film that masterfully recreates the atmosphere of a family gathering on an unnamed Croatian island. The film premiered this summer at the Pula FF and was later screened in competition at the Sarajevo FF.
