The Trip

Two women are on a path towards having a child together through fertility treatment.&nbsp;Their journey&nbsp;explores&nbsp;how they&nbsp;will experience and&nbsp;discover&nbsp;building their own family while maneuvering through their difference in race, culture, class and gender roles.&nbsp;&nbsp;Deux femmes sont sur le point d’avoir un enfant&nbsp;bien à elles&nbsp;grâce à un processus de fertilisation. The Arctics is a never-before-seen look at the history and impacts of the Arctic Winter Games, an international biennial multi-sport games that has been celebrating circumpolar sport and culture in the North since 1970. This short documentary follows the stories of characters from across the nine contingents that make up the international competition as they prepare to partake in the 2020 Arctic Winter Games which mark 50 years since first opening in Yellowknife. The Arctics jette un regard neuf sur l’histoire et les retombées des Jeux d’hiver de l’Arctique, un événement international multi-sports qui, depuis 1970, célèbre tous les deux ans le sport et la culture circumpolaires. Ce documentaire suit les traces de membres des neuf contingents participants alors qu’ils se préparent en vue des Jeux d’hiver 2020 à Whitehorse, 50 ans après la première édition à Yellowknife.
