Care tells the story of one residential care home as they emerge from the pandemic. We're delighted to be screening the film alongside a vital discussion on how we can reshape care now and for the future.

Join us on 29 April at 7.15 PM for an online discussion: With an ageing population and a deepening crisis in care, it can be hard to imagine the last years of your life as a positive experience. But across the country, there are dedicated care workers making sure that older people and their families have access to enriching care that focuses on each person's needs.

Care was produced in association with Newcastle University, and released with the support of the ESRC.

How can we make sure carers are supported in this work and we make caring central to our society? To explore this question and more, we will be joined by Andrew Newman (producer of Care and Professor of Cultural Gerontology at Newcastle University), Nicky Jones (a care worker who both co-filmed and is featured in Care), and John Roy from the Community union, in conversation with host Alastair Cole (director and producer of Care).
