Ludovic’s boyhood collapses: following a miscarriage, his mother Brigitte disappears in the emergency room. Seeking to find her, Ludovic finds himself drawn into the hospital maze.

Director's Biography:

Graduate of the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Montréal in 2018, Cédric Bérard-Patry has been exploring his own themes since adolescence: life and death, transitions and separations, love, masculinity, the quest for meaning. First through acting, Cédric acquired the desire to embrace the polymorphic nature of the human psyche, and to exploit its multiple dimensions in order to better discover his own aspirations. Sensitive and empathetic, anxious and sometimes terrified, Cédric observes the world from below, like a child in wonder. The uncanny ways of being, its first effort as a director, encapsulates this need to give back to the world its primitive and raw color, unaltered by cynicism. The uncanny ways of being is a first breath of fresh air, the culmination of a long immersion into his own cinematic universe.
