Director's Statement:


This film is my attempt at articulating feelings of traveling back home and (fully) noticing the New Orleans skyline I took for granted my whole upbringing. I always find myself living life looking downward, but the trees and telephone lines and faint hum of the metropolitan downtown lights are constant. Those define my surroundings and, therefore, how I live. They're what shape the way in which I remember environments - what become personal epochs - and create the warm glow of my romanticized memories.

Thomas Darragh is a Northwestern University student of the 2023 graduating class.
