In 1970, a radioactive leak in the Spanish Nuclear Energy Board contaminated the Manzanares river and the surrounding areas of the city of Madrid. 50 years later, workers and neighbours in the vicinity of the centre are fighting against something more terrible and harmful than the radiation: the total indifference of Spanish society.

This film includes many interviews with workers and community members. It’s a compelling story and has the themes of health and safety, environmental protection, business trumping the health and wellbeing of citizens, and international solidarity.
