After spending 25 years as a domestic worker, Edilsa faces the reality of unemployment.

The pandemic unearthed and exacerbated the endemic fault lines in our system. No paid sick days. Migrant worker deaths. Profit over the elderly in nursing homes. An unequal burden of disease on Black communities. A lack of power for workers to speak out. In this documentary, the audience is exposed to point of view stories from workers on the front lines of the hardest hit sectors. Far beyond COVID, Fault Lines will have us questioning what our labour is worth. And what still needs to be fought for.

A humorous look at the gig economy and what work is like right now for many white collar workers who have to hustle for every contract and need multiple contracts to make a living. Workers can be anywhere - it just depends on the backdrop, and how long you can hold the illusion together. “Lentils (Lentejas): if you want, eat them; if you don't, leave them.”
