This portrait introduces artist Robbie Tait Jr. and demonstrates the transformative power of art. He walks us through his Turtle Island Handbook project which arose from a desire to transmit his culture and family heritage through his drawings. He also addresses the political side of his art through his Rainbow Tears project, inspired by a story about the political prisoner Leonard Peltier.

Trickster activists the Yes Men collaborate with Clean Clothes Campaign and Berlin fashion designers to orchestrate an elaborate hoax announcement in an effort to improve conditions for garment workers and sustainability in the Adidas supply chain. Then they stage a shocking and hilarious fashion show at the opening of Berlin Fashion Week that makes the world pay attention to labor and environmental abuses that the mega-brand is trying to hide. This video documents a brilliant “performance-intervention”. A fake fashion show during fashionweek in NYC that fools all the fashionistas. It’s a cool critique of the labour conditions thatunderlie the Adidas brand in Cambodia. The Clean Clothes Campaign approached The YesMen, who put together this event with the help of a design team, Threads and Tits. The result ofthis ruse is that Adidas has to publicly admit they are not making ethical changes to it’s Brand.It’s a must-see to believe it. You won’t forget it.

Adidas Owns the Reality

Workers’ power and success at the bargaining table comes about through solidarity andorganization. This documentary takes us through a brief history of the Canadian Union of PublicEmployees (CUPE) public sector negotiations in New Brunswick with an emphasis oncoordinated bargaining and current campaigns since the pandemic. It has many lessons for anyone in a union or wanting to organize – as we see the strategies and how they broughtabout success and improved working conditions for public sector workers in CUPE NB. This bilingual (English and French) documentary showcases the unity and resilience of 22,000 public sector workers in New Brunswick, Canada, as they strike against wage suppression. It explores strategic mobilization and collective bargaining efforts by the Canadian Union of Public Employees, culminating in a province-wide movement that successfully challenges austerity and sparks labour action across Canada. A documentary film about Temporary Foreign Workers in New Brunswick, Canada. This documentary is a collection of interviews interwoven together to present a deep portrait of the lives lived by migrant workers and the challenges they face in Canada and specifically in New Brunswick. There are interviews with migrant workers and those who support and advocate for migrant workers. There are suggestions for improvements to Canadian immigration policies and laws and calls to action.

Chaos and Control

A migrant worker's pursuit of ‘The Canadian Dream’ takes a ​nightmarish turn as he uncovers an unsightly truth in the Ontarian ​agricultural industry. His quest for a better life in Canada unfolds through his own words and from his daughter’s perspective in this poignant family portrait. The film exposes the harsh exploitation and dismal working conditions Ontario’s migrant farm workers endure, while at the same time celebrating the resilience of the human spirit as it is manifested in one man’s battle for justice.

The Canadian Dream

In a modern take of Miguel de Unamuno's 1930's novel "San Martín Bueno, martir", where a priest loses faith in god, "Times of Insurrection" tells the story of the CEO of a global corporation who starts to lose faith in capitalism after a mysterious external pressure forces him to change his company forever. In this slick short film, we witness the CEO of a dairy corporation cause a great deal ofdiscomfort and uneasiness in his annual shareholder’s meeting by talking about things that are‘just not discussed’. Things like: corporate responsibility and environmental impact. It might beokay to talk about these things…but will he do anything? It’s fun to watch this scenario play outand to see how nervous it makes the shareholders. Enjoy the uneasiness for a while.
