Join us with Larry Schanker as he performs an amazing medley to the Buster Keaton film 'One Week' and Nell Shipman's 'Something New'.

One Week follows a recently married couple as they meet hilarious mishaps as they are gifted a build-your-own House!

Something New, created by one of the first women film directors, Nell Shipman, follows an adventurous woman as she travels to New Mexico to find "something new" to write about. Shipman, a fearless free spirit on and off screen, was ably supported by brilliant cameraman Joseph B. Walker, who went on to shoot many of Frank Capra's classic films. Something New is an offbeat and wonderful addition to film history. Far from the soundstages of Hollywood, Nell Shipman ventured into the wild to produce movies that celebrated independent women in exciting scenarios. Although Shipman’s name may no longer be familiar, she deserves to be remembered as one of cinema’s important female pioneers.
