Director Statement

This project was filmed on a cell phone over seven days during Omar's work shifts at the featured gas station. It blends unscripted documentary footage with dramatized recreations of real events. Omar continues actively working to gain permission and funding to paint a mural to commemorate his friend Steve and raise awareness of the utility of narcan in reversing opiate overdoses.
