Director Biography - Taja Copeland

An award winning writer and director, Taja Copeland has developed her voice as a narrative storyteller telling stories across genres to promote conversations on love, social construct, existentialism, and more. Based in Baltimore, MD, she has applied her skillsets in the cinematic arts to independent, major studios, and freelance films for over 6 years.

With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Film & TV Screenwriting from Morgan State University's Screenwriting and Animation program, she works diligently towards her goals of becoming an acclaimed writer and director by constantly working on independent projects of her own and with her peers.

Director Statement

Chasing Memories represents my true grieving process after reflecting on the ending of a friendship that I never received closure for. I hope this story resonates with people who have never found the closure they needed after the ending of any type of relationship, and that they find comfort in knowing they are not alone.
