Natasha Gilmore is the founder and Artistic Director of Barrowland Ballet, one of Scotland’s most exciting and successful contemporary dance companies. Whiteout gives resonance to the complexities of bi-racial relationships. Informed by her personal experiences as a white European who married a black African and as the mother of bi-racial children, Natasha Gilmore explores this issue with honesty and humour.
HAMAPAH/THE MAP/DANCE-ON-FILM
HAMAPAH/THE MAP DANCE ON-FILM chronicles dancer and choreographer Adam W. McKinney's return to his ancestral homelands of Benin, Poland and United States (Arkansas, Missouri, Montana, and Wisconsin) to trace the intersections of his African, Jewish and Native American heritages.

HAMAPAH/THE MAP DANCE ON-FILM chronicles dancer and choreographer Adam W. McKinney's return to his ancestral homelands of Benin, Poland and United States (Arkansas, Missouri, Montana, and Wisconsin) to trace the intersections of his African, Jewish and Native American heritages. Directed by Daniel Banks and filmed by documentary filmmaker Laura Bustillos Jaquez, the work was created over a four-year period as a way to investigate the possibility of healing transgenerational traumas. HaMapah/The Map Dance-on-Film explores issues of mixed heritage identity and ancestry and offers a complex, powerful story about humanity and connection.
