About the Festival: Now in our 22nd year, Planet in Focus is Canada's largest environmental media arts organization with year-round programming and an annual festival. We use film as a catalyst for change, building public awareness and engagement on a broad range of environmental issues that includes the intersections of the natural, cultural, social and political environments.

Andrew Nisker (Director, Coral Ghosts) makes films that inspire people to take action and revolutionize the way they treat the environment and themselves. Full bio here.

Thomas J.F Goreau is a biogeochemist, educated in Jamaican schools and holds degrees from MIT, Caltech, and Harvard. President and founder of The Global Coral Reef Alliance, he has dived on coral reefs across the Caribbean, Pacific, Indian Ocean, and South-East Asia for more than 60 years. Full bio here.

Andrés Jiménez Monge (Moderator) is the Urban Program Coordinator at Birds Canada and a biologist with a Masters in Environmental Studies from York University, with a focus on business and the environment. Full bio here.
