The same question arises, whether living in a big city or rural village - what is the ecological cost of human development? This program uses narrative storytelling to highlight people and communities across the world as they attempt to navigate their changing environments. 

Lucia, a pregnant nurse in São Paulo, senses trouble in the air and an irrational fear sets in. As a result, she finds herself drawn to a local evangelical church and Nicole, one of its members. All the while, fires rage in the Amazon hundreds of miles away.
