This program will transport you across the globe for five unique perspectives on pressing environmental issues. From bat experts in India, to lumberjacks in Japan, to snowboarders in Sweden, these five films exemplify the interconnectedness of our experiences and challenges in the face of climate change and biodiversity collapse.

Riccardo Soriano (Director, The Land of Griffons) is a filmmaker and photographer based between Rome and London. His film projects focus on environmental and conservation issues. Full bio here.


Emily Driscoll (Director, The Bat Man and Woman of India) is a two-time Emmy Award winning documentary director and editor, and the founder of BonSci Films, a production company specializing in science and art documentaries. Full bio here.


Rafal Malecki (Director, Rust) is a screenwriter, director and editor of feature films and documentaries. He is interested in politically and socially engaging cinema and arthouse cinema. Full bio here.


Mara Webster (Moderator) is a programmer, producer, content curator, moderator and interviewer.
