All across the globe, Chinatowns are under threat of disappearing – and along with them, the rich history of a community who fought from the margins for a place to belong. Big Fight in Little Chinatown will document the collective fight to save Chinatowns across North America.

Karen Cho has over 15 years’ experience working in the film and television industry as a Producer, Writer & Director of documentary films, TV and web series. Known for her socially engaged documentaries, Karen has directed award-winning films about everything from the Chinese head tax, to refugees, and women’s rights. Through her television work she has touched on subjects like aviation and ferry pilots, Canadian biographies, car restoration, genealogy, gold mining, the cops in Vancouver’s Downtown East Side, and artist activists around the world.
