Breakdown is a meditation of what it means to grieve a lost love.

Director - Hon Hoang

Hon Hoang was born in Vietnam and grew up in Los Angeles, California. Shortly after graduating from UCLA with a degree in Psychology, he pursued photography and directed several short films.

His experience in Psychology has continued into his photography and films because of his curiosity in people and cultures. He creates photographs as a way to give the audience a way to get a glimpse of humanity and pursues films as an exploration of it.

Hon believes that most of us feel a level of existential uncertainty, wondering who we’ll be because of who we were. His works explore this sensation and eventually come to hopeful conclusions, for it to act as a silver of light that guide us out of the dark.
