Director - Leah Xiuzhen Rathe

Leah Xiuzhen Rathe is an Asian-American filmmaker who resides in Northern Minnesota. She was adopted from China and raised in the US. Throughout most of her life, Leah has cultivated connections with individuals and communities through her artistic and media work. Her previous projects and films have covered topics such as gender equality, racism, and the criminal justice system. Leah further desires to create art around transracial adoptee experiences, including her own. She is very passionate about the impact of media and film, particularly when it comes to representation, and aims to create with meaning and intention.
