An aging fisherman goes out to sea one day and returns with a talking fish. Set in Ghana West Africa, this quirky comedy explores our need to stay relevant against the backdrop of a developing nation.

Cupcake is a coming-of-age story that follows Simone, an intelligent and independent high school student, on a journey of self-discovery. After her conservative religious community learns that she had sex with her longtime boyfriend, Joshua, Simone is slut-shamed and ostracized by those she previously considered friends. The intense backlash bypasses Joshua, and her situation further deteriorates when he turns on her as well. In the end, Simone must learn to reconcile her sense of self-worth with her beliefs, reject the objectifications being placed on her, and learn to trust herself again.

“WELCOME BACK” takes place in present day Venezuela, and is inspired by a compilation of true stories. The film centers around Rosa and her daughter, Sophie, who have been deported back to the extremely dangerous and communist Venezuela. Prior to leaving Venezuela, Rosa was once an opposition student protestor, an act that is deemed unforgivable by the Venezuelan government. DEEPLY FEARING HER LIFE, Rosa was forced to escape to the United States—but now is being sent back to the country she fled from. ​ After arriving in Venezuela, and managing to obtain an illegal passport, Rosa is able to enter the country, but knows it is TOO UNSAFE FOR HER AND HER DAUGHTER to stay. Rosa and her daughter must find a way to escape to a nearby town in Colombia without getting caught by the Venezuelan government. An insightful short story, inspired by real life events, observing one of the most oppressed countries, while exploring the incredible bond between a mother and her daughter.

After meeting Alfredo's grandmother, the sweet and crazy Donna Maria, the pair go to see Alfredo's father, Sor Pucci. Alfredo must break the news to his old-fashioned father about his secret. Little did he know his secret will churn into a series of unexpected comic events. This tongue-in-cheek comedy runs parallels alongside on the choices we make.

Paese Che Vai - When In Rome

Set in the Jamaican countryside, a young child named Nicole waits for her sister, Yellow Girl, to teach her how to swim. Like the water, Nicole does not resist, she flows, and nothing can stand in her way. Circumstances escalate when Yellow Girl breaks her promise and Nicole realizes that she is next in line for a lifestyle of sexual abuse. Nicole is forced to decide how far she will go in order to protect herself and her sister.

After her father is arrested for political reasons by the Turkish government, little Sirin is finally allowed to visit him in prison for the first time. When a prison official interprets her painting of a bird as an anarchistic symbol and confiscates it, the girl is devastated, but her father encourages her to believe in the freedom of thought. For her second visit, she paints a "harmless" mandarin tree. – Will her hidden message be discovered?

However, with only a basic understanding of each other’s languages and, to varying degrees, their own guilt and prejudices, misunderstandings threaten their tenuous attempts at connection, until an emotional breakthrough leads them to hope there is resolution — and a future — ahead for them both.

Joy ends up at Dream Life Lab &amp; Clinic where an angry mob battles to get inside to see an eccentric egg freezing doctor who offers women peace of mind in exchange for their life savings.
