Created with the intention to inspire artists, this film brings the Hiplet ballerinas to center stage. Hiplet fuses classical pointe technique with hip-hop and urban dance styles. Hiplet: Because We Can was shot in Chicago on the South Side at the Grand Ballroom, a hidden gem that opened back in 1923 once known as the Cinderella Ballroom. This film is meant to capture how amazing these young Black girls are, how they battle adversity and how they’ve elevated their craft in the city of Chicago

Augustus, an escaped slave masquerading as a free man in Massachusetts just prior to the Civil War, experiences nightmares of his son's death and a future America that resembles the struggles of his own time. Shaken to his core, Augustus realizes the horrors of slavery and racial inequality will only continue if he remains complicit. He’s left with one choice; speak up or lose his freedom.

Logline: A young Black girl from humble beginnings, struggles to be accepted at her new affluent school of mostly White peers.Synopsis: BEE attends her new school excited to make new friends, but when she gets there, she sees it’s much harder than she imagined. In fact, none of the other students will even speak to her. She finally meets another black girl, JESSICA, and the two become friends, that is until Jessica meets a group of white girls with hair more similar to hers. For the first time Bee realizes the difference between herself and the other kids at school. Bee continues to try and win the affection of Jessica until she ultimately comes to terms with accepting herself even if nobody else does.

Four Seasons follows Charisse (Nia Fairweather) and Braxton (David J. Cook) as they navigate the high and low tides of their relationship. It is a peek into what happens when expectations and things left unsaid collide. Will they be able to ride the seasons of change or be crushed by them? Only time will tell!

Set in 1914 at the start of World War I, The German King is the unbelievable true story of King Rudolf Douala Manga Bell; a German raised African prince who becomes king after his father’s death. Upon returning home to Cameroon, he sees his people being subjugated and enslaved under Kaiser Wilhelmʼs II oppressive colonial rule. He realizes the only way to put an end to his peopleʼs suffering, is to lead a rebellion against the man he once considered his brother.
