Together with his best friend, Holocaust survivor Peter Pérez embarks on a journey back in time to his World War II childhood. Whenever he hears fandango music, memories of Spanish Roma children singing flamenco in concentration camps come flooding back. In order to come to terms with the brutality that characterized his childhood, the two friends set off on a road trip together. From Vienna to southern Spain and, ultimately, to the site of the former Rivesaltes concentration camp in France, they follow a trail of memories. The music of flamenco accompanies them throughout their journey.
