We see: Potosí, a colonial mining town, stationed near a mountain of silver ore. At the pithole, the faces of workers leaving the mine, which become still images observed by the town’s youth—images of the people, the land and the past, intertwined and in flux.

Stitching together homegrown video footage with social media screen captures, archival material, club music and field recordings, this experimental piece explores anti-colonial resistance and the complexities of engaging in cultural practice under the strictures of quarantine.
