Xavier Vance is a Detroit filmmaker. Through her films Xavier seeks to capture the multi-faceted, authentic nature of the Black experience. Xavier has received a dual Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Journalism/Mass Communication from Olivet College, and a MFA in Film and Media Arts from the University of Windsor.<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/cfca9f40c72e6938fbb34192f233cab1.jpg">

Day One is a narrative short film about a young, Black couple in their twenties who are seeking to communicate through new challenges. Welcome to the first day of the rest of the lives.
