Chairs

Chip (Joshua Burge) is depressed. His girlfriend insists he get treatment, but when a therapist prescribes a wonder drug that leaves him impotent, she breaks up with him. Now even more depressed, Chip joins a support group where he meets others suffering the effects of the drug. Among them are Vollmann (Matthew Jarzyna), an awkward virgin who's struggling to concoct a home remedy, and Loretta (Chloë Levine), who has a more aggressive scheme in mind.

Larry returns home from war battling his inner demons, while hoping to find refuge in the warmth of his family. His fragile peace shatters as simmering tensions with his brother arise, forcing Larry to confront the harsh realities beneath the surface.

River of Grass

A young soldier returns home from Vietnam seeking a fresh start with his family. His efforts to prove himself collide with his brother's criminal affairs, triggering his erratic behavior.

Janie May, an aspiring country singer, learns that she’s a radio contest finalist during her shift at a diner in Waco, TX. She must race to the station to sing for a hometown music hero in hopes of winning the opening act spot on his upcoming tour. In a dash to the studio, she collides into an undocumented worker who refuses medical care or police assistance out of fear of being deported. The two engage in a struggle, each in pursuit of their own American dreams. In the end, they do the only thing they know how to do: fend for themselves.
