Boris Robič is an ordinary man leading an ordinary life. One day after supper, however, somebody fires a shot at him through his study window while he is reading. The police arrive to investigate. It seems Boris does not have enemies or any disputes with anyone. There are no suspects, as the meek, nondescript Boris appears to be someone totally unlikely to be targeted for assassination. Was the event a coincidence of some sort, or a random shooting? With no leads, the police stop investigating. Boris cannot come to terms with this, so he starts his own investigation. While he looks for potential perpetrators, Boris discovers that he is disliked by more people than he could ever have imagined, and that his perceptions of his own life might be merely illusions. Tautly constructed and merging elements of thriller, black comedy, and Kafkaesque paranoiac narratives, Inventory is brilliant debut feature film by Darko Sinko. --- Boris Robič est un homme ordinaire qui mène une vie ordinaire, jusqu’au jour où, après le souper, quelqu’un lui tire dessus à travers la fenêtre de son bureau, où il lisait. La police arrive pour enquêter. Il semblerait que Boris n’ait pas d’ennemis ou de différends avec qui que ce soit. Il n’y a pas de suspect, car il paraît impossible que le doux Boris, un homme sans grandes distinctions, ne soit la cible d’un assassinat. Était-ce une drôle de coïncidence, ou un coup de feu tiré au hasard? Sans piste, la police met fin à l’enquête. Boris n’accepte pas cette conclusion et décide de mener sa propre enquête. Alors qu’il cherche des coupables possibles, Boris découvre qu’il est détesté par plus de gens qu’il n’aurait jamais pu l’imaginer, et que sa perception de sa propre vie pourrait n’être qu’une illusion. Construit de façon tendue et intégrant les éléments d’un thriller, de la comédie noire et de narratifs paranoïaques kafkaïens, Inventory est un brillant premier long métrage de Darko Sinko.
