What happens when you retrace the steps of an indigenous painter one hundred years later? When you share a meal in the great outdoors? Capture the beauty of a running river?

Art in The Wild takes us on a journey into the inspiration and inception that nature grants us when we venture through its wilderness.

This block includes Rockies Repeat, 80° North, An Eye for Detail, Like a River, If I Tell Them, Camp Yoshi, Thomas Deininger. Trash Artist. and The Interconnectedness of All Living Things.

Rashad Frazier created Camp Yoshi as a space for Black people and allies to unplug and reconnect with the wilderness. By virtue of being in these places, Camp Yoshi's trips transform historically segregated spaces into safe havens for community, conversation and nourishment.
