Lil' Ruby

Based on Little Red Riding Hood, “Lil’ Ruby” reimagines the classic tale with a modern twist. The animated short follows Ruby, a gifted young Black girl from Brooklyn, as she leaves her home and takes the train to her grandmother Nanda’s house in Connecticut. When Ruby arrives for their annual "Girls Weekend" she discovers an unexpected visitor at Nanda’s house -- a financial advisor named Coleman Howell. Ruby quickly senses something isn’t right, puts the pieces together and formulates a brilliant plan. In the end, the clever and courageous Li’l Ruby proves she’s anything but little.
