Seven films have been selected for Nordic-Baltic Competition: Children's Film and will compete for the festival's award, the Golden Gunnar, for best children's film and audience award. The children's film programme is dedicated to artistic work for children and shows the best productions made for the youngest of us. This year’s jury consists of Aurora Nøkleby, Martin Gottfredsen and Patrick Ydse Bjørnnes.

Director's Note:

The programme consists of films from Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Lithuania, and Latvia. The filmmakers show a genuine joy of storytelling by creating good, animated films for children. The films show great variety in animation techniques with a strong professional approach, at challenge perspectives for children.

Astrid the fly relaxes by the window, daydreaming about the outside world. Meanwhile little sister Zazza, who Astrid is supposed to be babysitting, has disappeared! We follow Astrid for a fly's-eye voyage through the kitchen as she searches for Zazza. Will Astrid find Zazza? Or maybe she'll discover the place she's been dreaming of?

Charlotte started Bloody Honey, a production company, in 2007 and has since worked with both corporate and creative films. She has won several awards, both for directing, designing and stage art. Astrid The Fly is Charlotte's first own production for the silver screen.
