A total of 16 films were selected for the traditional programme Nordic-Baltic Competition: Short Film. The films will compete for the festival’s award, the Golden Gunner, in the categories of best Nordic-Baltic short film, Grand Prix, and the audience award. The festival has a special relationship with this competition, each year offering a totally unique programme that highlights animated films from the small countries of Northern Europe. Like all love affairs, it can be a bittersweet relationship, which began in 1996.
Director's Note:
Programme 1 consists of films from Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, Norway, and Lithuania, and shows a wide range of genres from horror and comedy, all with their own unique universes. Some movies will provoke, some will make you happy, and some will give more questions than answers. So, look forward to an emotional roller coaster ride, where we guarantee you will not go home unaffected.
