AT LAST is an animated short about anticipation, buildup and the sweet relief of finally reaching the finish line. Featuring a string of everyday scenarios that balance between the ordinary and the odd, stewing with more tension than a pressure cooker. The film plays with expectations and excitement, and captures that too familiar feeling of finally wrapping up a project that’s had you neglecting the dishes for longer than you care to admit. Frida Ek is a Swedish Creative Director based in London, with a background in design and animation. She’s always looking for ways to bring character and charm to her work. When she’s not bouncing between directing playful social ads and multichannel campaigns she loves creating cheeky doodles and vibrant animations.

AT LAST

Three men, on their way in a descending balloon over an icy sea, must get rid of weight. After a vote, the two men throw the third man out of the basket to reduce weight, intent on saving their lives. The victim, initially strongly opposed to the solution, clings to a long line below the balloon. He refuses to let go. Øyvind Tangseth has an animation degree from Volda University College, and has since had a long career in the Norwegian Animation industry. He has had many different roles at several norwegian studios; worked with 3D animation, stop motion, layout, design and supervised animated tv-series for children. Since 2013 he has mainly been working as a 2D animator, animation designer and director at Råsalt Studio, a studio co-funded with Trine Vallevik Håbjørg. The last film he directed, "The captain, the pilot and the singer" (2014), was shown at multiple festivals around the world.

Dead weight

Dr. Christa investigates a Norrland hospital, plagued by a parasite. Father Julius claims to cure with electricity and divine intervention. Chaos ensues, but he saves his sister. Her suspicions confirmed-a monster caused the outbreak. From the creative landscapes of Malmö emerges the dynamic duo, Lisa Rydberg and Lars Henrik Andersson, whose collaborative journey has reshaped the contours of animation and storytelling. Lisa Rydberg, a visionary artist and storyteller, brought her mystical touch to the world of illustration and children's radio before falling in love with animation. In 2019, she joined forces with Lars Henrik Andersson, a multidisciplinary talent rooted in Umeå and thriving in Malmö. Lars Henrik, originally a singer, guitarist, and producer, found a new passion for film in the 2000s, resulting in captivating music videos and documentaries. Together, their creative synergy birthed "Så inget händer dig" in 2019, a mesmerizing animated film that not only graced SVT screens but also claimed the Best Documentary award at the Pixel Skåne Film Festival in 2020. The success of their first collaboration paved the way for "En lång utdragen olyckshändelse," which premiered at the Göteborg Film Festival in 2021, earning them the title of Best Swedish Short Film at the Uppsala Short Film Festival.

How will our eyes compare in a world that requires perfection, good grades and attractive CVs? In Eyes Eyes Baby we meet an organ that’s wondrous but imperfect, invaluable but not at all perfect, and sometimes even unreliable. Perhaps the ears or a tongue can replace them? Charlotte Rodenstedt is a creative multitasker. She is a self taught award winning animator, a theatre projection videographer, a clay and linocut artist, and she is the woman behind the history app Be Here Then. Her first short film, Astrid the Fly has flew around the world to 23 film festivals in 2020-2021. Now she has teamed up with comic book writer/illustrator Sara Granér to make ‘Eyes Eyes Baby’ - a film about our perhaps not so great visual organ.

A "Jeff Bezos" is an ambitious capitalist and businessman. Our Jeff Bezos manages a local bakery and does everything in his power to satisfy his customers who are both impatient and picky. In the back of the shop, Jeff secretly holds thousands of little live cake men in captivity, where they are forced to bake all the bread and cake that the customers order. But when a cake man falls into a dough one day and is baked with it, the customers discover that they LOVE the new taste! In Jeff's eternal quest to be the best, he kills his Cake Men employees until one day there are none left. Only himself. Which leaves him no options but to make the ultimative sacrifice. Mathias Rodrigues Bjerre graduated from The National Film School of Denmark in 2020 as a director specialized in animation. His graduation short film ‘I Don’t Have Time For This’ has attended numerous international festivals and won multiple awards and mentions. His films published on his online persona - @ZeroSum.G has been seen over millions of times by users around the world.

Let Them Eat Cake

Pet Follies is a short stop-motion film about a sad penguin's quest for happiness. It tells the story of a depressed penguin who watches gardening shows on the couch, attempting to work through the depression by, among other things, seeking therapy, gardening, composting, and in the end buying a piece of land with its tortoise friend. Narrated in danish by Carla Viola Thurøe. Voice acting (norwegian and english) by Okay Kaya and Oliver Burslem. Soundtrack by August Bager, Kim Laybourn, Okay Kaya & and Peter Klitgård Hansen. Sound design by August Bager. Anna Sofie Mathiasen (b. 1995, DK) is a visual artist and filmmaker graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Oslo in 2020. She lives and works in Oslo, Norway. She has previously exhibited and screened her films at Galleri K (Oslo, NO), Kunstnernes Hus (Oslo, NO), and Kunsthall Oslo (NO), O - Overgaden (Copenhagen, DK), Nitja - senter for samtidskunst (Lillestrøm, NO) and Valencian Institute of Modern Art (Valencia, ES).

Pet Follies

Tekhenu is egyptian word for an obelisk and means sky piercer. Tomi Malkki also known as Malakias, was born in a finnish swamp-area at Finland. As a kid he liked bananas and sunbathing on the balcony. A plastic hippo with four wheels was his favourite riding toy. At the age of two it was hard to draw a line where he ended and Hippo started. His childhood idols were Lucky Luke and O loupežníku Rumcajsovi, and still are! Nowadays his list has couple new names: Harmony Korine, Michael Haneke, Andrey Zvyagintsev and Hellbutcher&Tyrant from the band Nifelheim.

A little person who lives in the house atop the city, lives through their day to day life while a mysterious creature grows out of the attic walls.

A man and a woman are having a candlelit dinner at a restaurant. All of a sudden the man's appearance begins to change. The Lovers is a stop motion relationship horror and unromantic comedy about a couple forced to deal with escalating bodily transformations. Carolina Sandvik (b. 1988, Avesta) is a filmmaker and artist with a Master in Fine Arts (Malmö Art Academy 2019). She is based in Malmö, Sweden. Her short film The Expected won the Best Swedish Short Dragon Award at Göteborg Film Festival and Børge Ring Award at Odense Film Festival 2021. In addition to film festivals, her work has recently been shown at art venues such as Malmö Art Museum and Färgfabriken in Stockholm. The upcoming project The Lovers won Best Short Comedy Pitch at Torino Short Film Market 2021.
